Leiana Hawkins has been developing and teaching programs since 2001. Formerly she has worked at the Museum of Life and Science, the Roger Williams Park Zoo, and the Providence Children's Museum. Each of these professional experiences, in addition to being a persistently curious learner and the mother of two amazing young minds, has helped to shape her educational philosophy.
She holds a B.S in Biology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.Ed. in Science Education from North Carolina State University.
Leiana founded Springboard Experiences in 2016.
Shannon Guastella has enjoyed a lifetime learning from young children. She worked from 2003-2012 as a special educator with the Albany City School District and Capital Region Boces working most closely with Kindergarteners struggling with autism, hearing loss and emotional disabilities. She now owns a Fitness and Yoga studio and while working as a yoga teacher and personal trainer also teaches yoga and fitness to toddlers and preschoolers. Shannon’s educational experiences have led to a lifestyle of approaching every situation as an opportunity to explore and learn in the most basic and hands on manner. She wakes every day ready for a new adventure viewing the world as a classroom.
Shannon’s formal education is in Communication Disorders, Sign Language and Early Childhood Education.
